The track team ran at Livonia Franklin on Saturday in a very competitive meet. Diamond Cook was the top finisher, winning the shot put in a season-best throw of 34'1.5". Harper Peeples medaled in the 300 hurdles, finishing 5th in a personal best time, and Caramia DeGiulio medaled in the 800 meters, finishing 7th. Also medaling for the girls' team was the 400-meter relay team of Mariah Perkins, Nia Jones, Azriel McCalister, and Harper Peeples, finishing 6th. For the boys' team, Jaden McCalister was 4th in the long jump, and Mathias Neloms took 8th in the shot put in a personal best throw. The 3200-meter relay team of LaMark Johnson, Gary Smith, Joseph Stevens, and Jonathon Vasser finished 7th. The team will now run in their 2nd MIAC Jamobree this Tuesday.
